Who says you can’t re-wear! your something blue from your wedding? Meghan Markle, fresh off the buzz from her nuptials with Prince Harry on May 19 is back in the public eye and creating quite the style stir! This past weekend, the Duchess of Sussex and her new husband Prince Harry attended the wedding of Celia McCorquodale (Princess Diana’s niece) and George Woodhouse in Lincolnshire and naturally, Markle turned out the perfect wedding attendee look complete with right-off-the-runway Oscar de la Renta and super special Aquazurra heels that she’s worn before!
The newlywed is showing off her blissed-out marital glow with her most bohemian look yet: a billowy, long sleeved cornflower blue toile printed gown with a wrap-cinched waist and asymmetrical hem from the Oscar de la Renta Resort 2019 collection. Given Markle’s penchant for uber tailored and sleek looks, this look certainly marks a sartorial departure — made more evident by the fact that she is wearing a print, something we don’t often see her do.
But, in an ever-so-cool-girl move Markle not only added a $40 Marks and Spencer fascinator, but also re-wore her custom white Aquazzura shoes with blue soles that she wore to her own wedding reception just two months ago.
This is the first public appearance in which Markle has worn a bright color since becoming a member of the royal family. Following her wedding, the newly-minted Duchess has opted for a subdued and neutral color palette for her public appearances. Could this be the opening of a more colorful summer or style? Only time will tell.
